Starting from purely conceptual ideas, this project spanned the full design process to a final light lab project, showing tangible versions of looks from the conceptual light plot.
The overarching concept around this project is based on how the time loops within the play. Playing with reality to create shifts between time was integral to heightening the feeling of purposelessness and hopelessness presented in the script.
Equally as important was the idea of presenting Vladimir and Estragon as castaways lost at sea during the night scenes.
